I'm excited about what the Lord has this morning. Thank you for coming. Means a lot. A couple years ago, the Lord told me personally to invest more in these morning times. And we've honestly, when other ladies have spoken in these times, it's been of my favorite things we've ever done.
So it's not about me bringing something greater. It's about what the Lord's doing in my own heart. And this has grown to be one of the favorite things I've ever done in a lot of years of ministry. So just in this smaller setting, even though it's getting bigger as you guys are showing up, it means a lot. There's something I want to do.
I bought one of these. Isn't this really cool? I bought one for myself about a month ago, maybe a little longer, because I love that you can see the roots. It's in the room where I spend most of my time praying. And the Lord turns my face towards it a lot.
And when I went back getting giveaways, whenever our giveaways come from Lowe's, I volunteer to be the one to go. And I get lost for a long time in there. It's really pathetic. My friends are like, hey, she's probably at Lowe's.
But I got these. I gave one to Summer. She's going to be sharing some this morning, but I felt to bring them. And I asked Pastor Mel to be a part of what we're sharing today. She didn't feel to share from the microphone, but I can tell you that a lot of what I'm going to talk about today, story wise, is very much centered in not only the position Pastor Mel was in at the time.
When I came at age 25 to Concord, I was. They weren't the lead pastors, but they were my bosses, and we just kept that going. They're still the bosses of me. And even though sometimes I make them feel like I'm the boss of them, when I try to be bossy, but I felt to give one to you, Pastor Mel. I heard her.
Amen, don't you worry. And she knows I wouldn't expect anything different. But I honor you, Pastor Mel, because of your beautiful root system. Candice, will you go bring it to her? Because she doesn't want to walk up here.
Honor Pastor Mel, like my roots go deep because yours have. And so thank you. This lady would just go deliver it to her house. I'll get her another one. She fractured her patella, seemingly.
That's. Pastor Mel and I were with her in urgent care and her knee was so swollen, they weren't positive, but they think that's what happened. So she's in this knee. Big knee contraption and in a lot of pain. But I brought this anyway, and I felt actually to give this to you, Karen Boehner.
Where's Karen? So, Karen. Someone hand this to Karen, because this is awkward. Okay, I'll do it.
I was talking to Karen earlier. I didn't learn anything new about her story, but I was just reminded of, in a matter of a few years, few short years, she lost her son, her husband, her best friend and others, her brother. And not only does she keep showing up, she's leading our support group for widows right now. And your roots are stunning. So thank you.
During worship, I walked around, I'm like, man, I need to hand out about 100 of these today. You guys are amazing. And just grateful you're here. I'm going to share a brief word. And then Pastor Steph and Summer were going to sit with me and share stories.
And obviously Pastor Steph wasn't able to come. And then Summer tried to weasel her way out of this. But she was really a part of Sylvania. Said poor Summer. No, that's exactly what happened.
She tried to weasel her way out of it.
And then she dressed like me. So we're going to be adorable up here. Jeans and a black shirt. You're so prophetic. I want everyone that comes alongside me to look just like me.
Revival and have so many stories from that time. We're going to see what God does. I'm aware of the time.
Our goal. I feel like there's been confusion. Our goal is always to be done by 12. Sometimes it's a little sooner, not usually when I'm speaking. So that's the goal.
If you have to go, there's no judgment. I'll just feel sorry for you. Cause I believe the Lord wants to really do something in our hearts this morning. I'm not someone that. Especially the older I get.
I'm not here to advertise some encounter.
He wants deep root systems. He wants a people that will tap into his river, but his people. He loves to visit sons and daughters in the secret place. And he loves to visit a corporate people. And some of the most profound supernatural, divine events in scripture were done or took place during a corporate gathering.
But it's for the purpose of knowing where we're sending our roots to. And I believe that he has challenged me. If you guys attend the refuge, and we're here two Sundays, not this Sunday or the one before. So I guess it will have been. Three Sundays ago I preached about revival.
I talked about the river that makes glad, whose streams make glad? The city of our God. And it really has come out of a place the Lord wanting me to remember. In next summer, in June, I will celebrate my 30 years, 30 year anniversary of moving to Concord. 30 years.
And I came as a single woman living a very consecrated life, having a lot of dreams for my own life. I had no idea I will have married, had the greatest gift ever given to me and my daughter, and now stand before you as a divorced woman in ministry with a lot of pain in between. I still choke on the word, not as much as I used to. And if I could have seen around every one of those corners. And I'm not saying it's all been God's plan, but thank God he sends redemption and he turns ashes into beauty and he doesn't waste anything.
And still on the daily I talk to the Lord to make sure I shouldn't be disqualified. And he helps me. You guys help me. My sister and her family now live in this area. My two nieces are on the front row in love with Jesus, so he does all things well.
My brother and his family live in the area. They lead a work called the King's People. And all of my mom and dad's 10 grandkids are in love with Jesus. Because my mom in a very dark state, but knew there was more, went on a search for the Lord and found him. And she told her kids, the Lord said if I would believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, I would be saved.
And my house. So you'll be saved, and you'll be saved and you'll be saved. And he turned to my stepdad, you'll be saved. She literally told me when I was gonna be baptized. I said, yes, ma'.
Am. I wouldn't recommend that discipleship course, but it worked for me. And in July, and I don't know how often she listens to my messages, I will be in trouble for this, but I'm proud of this. She turned 82 and she travels all over the country leading inmates to Jesus. She's a part of God Behind Bars.
She's one of their founding employees and she makes me tired, but she's incredible. So I'm thankful for my heritage. And it's been a. It's. It hasn't been what stories are made of in terms of storybooks, but I'll take it because he knows, he knows how to order our steps.
He Determines the best course for our lives. Right, April? Yeah. Found him. Where she got saved.
There's no shame in that. She didn't have life. I should have asked for permission. Thanks.
And one of the most beautiful displays of Christianity I've ever known in anyone. Could you have seen that before you encountered him that day? She didn't even know who he was. So the Lord's good. You all have your stories and I'm jealous to know all your stories.
So if ever you want to just tell me your God story, let's get together. That's what it's going to be. You're going to tell me your God story. But it's in the room. Whether I know it in the natural or not.
We carry it inside us. And when we get together, that story inside of us ignites something. That's why he visits the corporate gathering. So we'll see how far I get in this message because I want to make sure I share a couple stories. And you know, Summer, I told her I'd give her $100 if during worship she held the microphone and pretended like she was singing in it.
So I'm glad you can't be bought. Summer, a couple Sundays ago, I preached out of Second Kings eight on the Shunammite woman who, after being in the Philistine country, went to the court of the King and said, I want it back. And I paralleled what the Lord's been pressing me about in these beautiful times where we encountered the Lord in a revival spirit. I'll talk about some of those throughout what I hope to be a brief message and then, yeah, we'll see what God does. Last night, Pastor Andrew spoke to us out of 2 Kings 4.
We're going to be looking in 2 Kings 4 this morning. He spoke on the second part and it was one of the most compelling and stirring messages without exaggeration on faith. It was called Faith when the Lights Go out that I've ever heard. So visit the app. It's probably not up yet, but hopefully the team's working on.
They have a lot on their plate. They're working on getting it up sooner. So certainly by the weekend you'll be able to access that through the app. You can only get the Wednesday night services through the app. Let me insert here about the events that Amber talked about, which Amber, you did so great.
You're amazing. But with Kathryn Mullins event and the Jess Kulianos event, we're not charging for those events. We've decided the last couple years not to have a conference to have these one night events and it's a big investment for the church. If you go here, you've heard that we have face challenging times financially as a people. So we're making this in powerful ways.
When Kathryn's here, there's an anointing she carries that we're grateful for. She's an incredible worship leader. There's going to be ministry time. I'll bring a brief word that night. And then Jess Kulianos.
What she carries. Many of you have heard her husband, Michael Kulianos. She is incredible. And she one of the things I was amazed at when I went to the Jesus Image Women's conference is the way the young adult women just flock around her. If you know young adult women, get them here and then be praying about what you're to do, what you're to sow into.
We're not going to charge, but we are going to take offerings. And I've just been asking God to cover all the expenses of these things. I don't get that pressure from Pastor Jay and Mel. Pastor Mel would tell you I put the pressure on myself, but I think it's a God pressure. And four one through six, this is speaking of a widow woman.
And then later it speaks of the Shunammite woman. They're different women, but both key women in the narrative. God's narrative through history. The wife of a man from the company, show your servant my husband is dead. And you know that he revered the Lord, but now his creditor is coming to take my two boys as his slaves.
Elisha replied to her, how can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house? Your servant has nothing there at all, she said, except a small jar of olive oil. Elisha said, go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don't ask for just a few.
Then go inside and shut the door behind you. And your sons pour oil into all the jars and as each is filled, filled, put it to one side. She left him and shut the door behind her. And her sons, they brought the jars to her and she kept pouring. When all the jars were full, she said to her son, bring me another one.
But he replied, there is not a jar left. Then the oil stopped flowing. The name of the message this morning is Vessels of Honor. That is what we named the women's ministry almost 30 years ago. And the Lord has been bringing me back to some of those paths, not to recreate them, but to remember, because he's connecting the dots that even what we experienced in those days about these Days, and you're a part of it at the time of 2nd Kings 4, Levitical law.
And you could read in Leviticus 25, later made. I don't want to say made provision, but had this standard that if you couldn't pay your debt, your kids would be sold as bond slaves. In other words, they would work off the debt until the debt was paid or until the year of jubilee came, when debts were forgiven, which would happen every seven years. Your kids would leave your house and have to work off the debt. And so here, this woman just lost her husband, and she has her sons there.
And even though he was a righteous man, the scripture says he revered the Lord. There's also indication that he was probably one of Elisha's prophets. Somehow he found him, he had amassed this debt, and the creditor is coming to take the two boys as slaves. So she's a widow, she has a debt she can't pay. The creditors are knocking on the door to enslave her two sons.
And I believe this represents the spirit of the world, the devil, our adversary, knocking on the door, specifically in the church. And he's saying, what you didn't stay clear of, I'm now going to enslave the next generation to. So what we won't do for ourselves, we ought to feel an obligation to do those coming behind us. And the Lord's been on me about this. My daughter just around the corner in my house, going through the most painful time of her life.
She needs to encounter God, and she does encounter him. She's much more disciplined in her disciplines of Christianity than I am. And I'm not saying that with any exaggeration, but in terms of experience, I want her to know it in greater measure than I have, because I think there's things that I've allowed myself to become enslaved to that now there's the potential of her paying, being a slave to, and that debt being returned. We see the progression of this. I'm not gonna get into all of this.
I'm just gonna mention it. We use kind of the LGBTQ movement, the gay pride movement, as an example. It is not. I don't even think it's the worst of the sins in our culture, but in terms of the. The way that it's getting out of hand and escalating and what is becoming politically supported is the best example, because it shows, like, how there are things that even the idea.
Because of the freedom that previous generations didn't walk in. I don't say that because we should feel ashamed, but Instead of judging their bondages, we have to say, God, we're going to give what we have. Maybe you're looking at your oil and saying, it's not much, and we might even call it nothing. But he's saying, no, give me that. So that then God can flip the switch on what's happening.
2015, 2016, the greatest breakthrough years for the gay Pride movement. In 2015, the Supreme Court ruled the legalization of same sex marriage in all 50 states. And you remember the lights and the pride rainbow being shined on the White House. On the white of the White House. And I remember shaking my head when they showed that on the news.
And the Lord said, don't shake your head. It's a sign. I told you it was coming. I said, as in the days of Noah. Then I realized, days of Noah, a rainbow.
A rainbow on our. In our government, like it's a sign, we don't shake our heads. We just say, lord, the hour's upon us. You said it towards God. And now on our government, what would be our sacred government building, there's these lights signifying gay pride.
And then in 2023, President Biden had the gay pride flag hung between the two American flags, which is actually illegal. Only the American flag has to be central. So that's the moral. It's an image of moral relativity and where it slides to. Don't hear what I'm not saying.
It's not a lack of compassion. I have one family member in particular, very, very dear to me that has chosen that to be her identity and lifestyle. My mom's only sister. And so. And I pray for her.
But I know there's a lot of pain and brokenness in her life. Luke 17, 2635. I'm not gonna read it now. Read it later. But it is the Lord saying, as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be people being indifferent towards God, going about their lives, eating, drinking, marrying, and not thinking that a flood would come.
And in the church in particular, wants to send revival to America, but not for us to be less bored in church. He is sending it to give us marching orders. And it will strain what we hold onto as conveniences. But when you've tasted it, you wouldn't trade it. The enemy wants to enslave the next generation.
And the only thing that will keep them from being taken captive, the only thing that will bring them to a life and freedom, is one thing. I'm going to pose it as a question. Do you have oil in the house?
Oil represents The Holy Spirit, the anointing of God. When kings were anointed, it was done with oil. The power of the Spirit of God and the joy and gladness of God. There is a sobriety about this message, but there is a deep joy in him that we experience in his presence. Some of you have heard me talk about this.
I'm going to share it very briefly. When I finished college, which was in 1993, I college town teaching. So in 1990, now I forget the year, but somewhere around 93, 94, 95, a guy by the name of Rodney Howard Brown from South Africa was preaching in Carpenter's home church. It was a laughing revival. I would go and sit up in the balcony and just laugh, but not because the Holy Spirit hit me.
You know how like when people are gut laughing, it just makes you laugh. And I remember being like, I don't even know if this is real, but this is kind of fun. And the Lord was doing stuff. And Rusty and Lisa Nelson were on staff. And where I would sit at Carpenter's home church, I could see them.
And I remember being there one of the revival days. I was interning, actually, so it would have been in 93. I was interning for my degree. So I wasn't out of college yet. So forget what I said earlier.
I should have thought this through. Sorry. I was in my last semester of college, so I would intern all day, teaching school, teaching elementary school, and then I would go to the revival meetings at night. And I remember, like looking down at Rusty and Lisa and seeing Pastor J and Mel. They didn't know me, but I knew them because they preached at my youth group once.
And then they came a couple years later. The church I got saved in when I was a teen to help dedicate a building. And I remember seeing Pastor Mel and the Lord telling me, you're going to know her. I could tell you what she was wearing. She would love for me to tell you.
Actually, for $20, I'll tell you after. Please give it to Summer. But that's right. So I'm in this revival service. I've noticed them.
Rodney Howard Brown is talking about the move of God. And I see Pastor J stand up and walk straight to him while he's preaching and just says, I have to have it. I have to have the Lord. What that cry was then is for now. And I believe it with all of my heart.
Gracie Denton told me after I preached a few Sundays ago. She said the Lord told her this was the year. This is her 50th year after receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit in September, where are you? September 4th. Is that right?
September 4th. The Lord said, no. What you've seen in the spirit in terms of revival, you will see with your natural eyes. This is the year. I love Gracie.
Her hair is so pretty. I told her that, and she said she watched a YouTube tutorial and curled her hair. And she looks amazing.
We're living in that day that if we don't get oil in the house, it will greatly affect us. So I'm gonna hit some of these things very quickly, and then summer's gonna share. We're gonna kind of do it together. She wants me to be by her while she has the microphone. How do we get the oil?
Number one, we've gotta our deficit. That's a word from the Lord. We have to get past our deficit. If I have to do it, you have to do it. And I am.
I spend more time contemplating and even talking to God about my deficit and perhaps how people view my deficit than over the resplendent glory and power of the spirit of God. Oh, Laura, you're leaving and you love revival.
Okay, cool, cool. So what do you have in your house? The first answer may be nothing, because when you live in a deficit for a long time, it overshadows the oil that you do have. That's what the widow woman did. Don't do that instead of pouring.
We often feel sorry for ourselves. It brings us into deeper deficit. But the more you pour, the more it flows. The woman's problem was not the absence of oil. It was the addition of other stuff.
The woman had to lose everything else to get down to nothing so that she could get what she really needed.
So that's number one. Number two, we have to empty ourselves in order to become full. That's what makes us a vessel of honor. God wants vessels to pour his oil in, but he's not going to share the space with a bunch of other things. He's looking for us to provide a place that he can put heaven in here on earth.
Like, if I had a coffee pot up here and said, this is the best coffee I've ever had and any of you can can have it. But I didn't have any cups. It doesn't matter how good the coffee is, right? The vessel is what's necessary. Groceries need to go in grocery bags, right?
Like, it's not about the exterior of the vessel, it's about what's placed inside. It's not the container that brings value, it's what goes Inside. So all we have to do is be clean and empty. God has sermons, miracles, prophecies, words of wisdom and knowledge, corporate exhortations like our sister gave during worship healings. But he needs vessels.
He seen, but people that are cracked by the treasure within them. Jars of clay. According to 2nd Corinthians 4:7 through 8, the prophet told the woman to gather vessels. The oil is not the problem.
When he runs out of resources, when it seems that the resources are gone, it's because the vessels are gone. Do you want to be a vessel? He told the woman, Gather the vessels. Don't just gather a few. And this has been big in my journey because if I'm completely honest with you, few is easier for me.
I can look you in the eye. I can find out what you know or what judgments you have struggled with based on my season. And I'm not just putting myself out there not knowing what people are thinking. I'm not proud of this. And the Lord's told me over and over, and it doesn't necessarily.
It doesn't really. It has nothing to do with the stage or corporate gatherings. It has to do with how I live my life. It has to do with my neighbor Sharon across allowing the oil to flow. And he says to me on the regular, don't just gather a few.
Don't you determine the magnitude of your miracle. We want massive amounts of oil, but we want to give them a pint size of our souls and of our time and of our resources.
We want the oil. Number three. We need to shut the door. She shut the door. It's what we pour out in private that matters.
And when we pour it out in private, he pours it out. In the corporate expression, it's getting alone with the Lord fast. She shut the door to every other option. And when you shut the door, people will not complement the vessel. We have to become dead to that.
And the reality is, I thought I was dead to that until I walked through the last couple of years. And I spend more time contemplating either things I've heard people have said or things I'm imagining they said. But we've got to be willing to pour it out. I have lots of stories I can tell. I want us to hear from Summer.
Do you have your microphone already? Okay, let's get our stools.
Summer and Jonathan were part of the Brownsville Revival. When the first year we moved into this building, Pastor J and Mel went on sabbatical. And I preached on the end times. And I remember seeing Jonathan and Summer here. And I Was like, what?
What are they doing here? Do I have this right? I should have asked you ahead of time. Like something happened where you couldn't go to your service or. No.
The first time you came here. Yeah. Wasn't it when I was preaching on the end times? Okay, cool. Had that wrong.
But it meant something to me and I believe put on my life, because part of what he's called me to is to announce the things that are to come. But revival has to be a part of it. That's why in the last days, he's going to pour out his spirit. There's going to be a beauty of his presence that we didn't know in another time. Because there's a river whose streams make glad the city of our God.
And no matter what we face, we make it. Because it's not based on circumstantial happiness. It's about saying, no. I know how to get to the source of the beauty of who he is. So here.
Those days were about what God wants to do now. And I don't just mean in this church by any stretch, but I do believe the refuge is an important part of it. So here, Pastor Jay and Mel asked, when they went on sabbatical for me to teach the congregation. And it was a series called Sober and Alert. I taught for three Sundays, and the very first Sunday Jonathan and Summer came.
I remember thinking, those are. They're connected to my brother. They were part of the revival. I used to see them there, and now the Lord has them here, and they're elders here. They're beautiful.
Avas going to be an rds. She's here this morning because I. So the time is now. That's what I'm trying to say. And during those days of six years of prayer meetings on Saturday nights, hours on end, Pastor Mel, Pastor Steph, myself, some others, we were crying out for the move of God.
In the midst of that, we got to visit the revival. Bina was a student, part of the revival. She's part of our staff. We're not trying to recreate Brownsville, but we are. We want you to hear the knock of God in the midst of this.
So, Summer, share whatever you want to share. Well, tell them about. Set up the one picture that I do. You have that picture. Don't put it up yet.
But tell them about this, because this is kind of wild. I like the few as well. So he said, get more than the few. This is a lot.
So I had gone to Brownsville with my youth group for the first time when I was 15.
And then like I met. I was saved for a few years before that. But I really met the Lord. He Tell him quickly about Brownsville. I forgot to do that.
Tell him what it was. What are we talking about? Yeah, the outpouring of the spirit from 95 for the next five years in Florida. And services went for every night of the week for hours and hours on end, where there was just tangible presence of God. The way I was explaining it to one of my daughters was if you're super hot outside and you're sweaty and you're just hot and then you walk into an AC building and you're just instantly cooled off, like the tangible presence of God was like that in the building.
As soon as you walked into the building, you just felt him all over you. It was real.
We would wait in line. Did you guys wait in line? Oh, yeah. We'd wait in line outside when we would get there at 6, 7 in the morning and we would wait till the doors open at 6, 6pm just to get a seat in the building. And half the time we would have to go to Overflow because it would be full.
But yeah, does that explain. I had gone with my youth group. I had gotten just wrecked by the Lord, his presence, his fire. I went a year later and I'll explain that story. But when I went a year later by myself with some friends that I met there, there was a particular service that I was reading through my journals about.
And this morning I just thought I should see if that service happened to be up on YouTube. So I punched it in, pulled it up. It was. So I just kind of started playing it while I was getting ready. And I would glance down and look at it because they would scan the crowd, the video would.
And I see Terry Little, 20 year old. I knew for sure it was you. And then I was like, that's exactly what Steph would wear. So I screenshotted it and I sent it to her.
There she is. So I still dress the exact same way and stuff to her. Right. So the same service that. Well, yes, but in the picture, looking at you, the same service that I was at and got so met by the Lord, they were there at that same service.
We didn't know each other yet, and we didn't know until this morning. It just was a crazy.
I love that picture.
So do you want me to talk about my. Okay. After the first time that I visited Brownsville with my youth group, we all came back. I lived in Omaha, Nebraska, and we had planned to go On a missions trip to Kenya, Africa the next summer. So the summer of 99.
But like a month later, I had a cheerleading accident. I was at a camp over the summer, and we were required to do all the tumbling, which that was the part of cheerleading that I never wanted to do, but we were required to. So I did it, and I came crashing down on my neck and I broke my neck.
I had. I was only 15 at the time, so the actual, like, all the technical side of it, I didn't ever really understand, but I knew I couldn't move. I was in a neck brace. I was in a back brace. Muscular skeletal nerve damage all throughout my neck and back.
And that ended my cheerleading career.
It was a journey of being in constant pain and not mobile for 13 months. So I would. The nerve damage would. Like, I couldn't. I would pick up a pen, and often I would just drop it.
Like there was no. Like, I would drop the drinks I was holding. Like there was so much damage there. But I did. I lived on the couch for.
I think Emmy has a picture of me on the couch for you to see.
And that was my junior year in high school. And I was on fire for the Lord, and I loved him and I had been met by him and I knew his presence. And I laid there and I would talk to him and he would meet with me. And it was a long year. I had therapies of every kind.
I had treatments of every kind. I was on 28 pills a day that were for muscle relaxers, coding for paint, like, all kinds of stuff. So in the Natural, it felt very hopeless. Like there just wasn't. You can have this surgery and you're going to be okay.
Like, there was just so much collateral damage everywhere that there was nothing in the natural that was a clear path forward in the meantime. So when I did make it down to my bedroom, I had one of my friends paint scriptures on my walls. I gave Emmy a picture of that, too, so you could see.
Just so I could lay there and read the Word.
And when it was lonely, when it was dark, when it was painful, I would just lay there and hide the Word in my heart. I would pray. And I knew. I knew. I knew the Lord was real.
I knew he was going to touch me. So when I would go to church every Sunday with my parents, I would go down to the altars. I'd get prayer from the elders and the pastors. And my church congregation was like a 2,3000 member church. It was a big.
A big church. And they all knew. They all knew my condition. They all would see me up front getting prayer, and they were all praying for me.
Fast forward through that year, and my youth group left for Africa to go on the missions trip that I couldn't go on. And we had some dear friends that were a part of the revival and the School of Ministry in Florida. And so my parents had said, we'll send you down there, and you can just kind of spend a couple weeks with the Lord and with them and just soak. So that's what I did. And that was the trip where you guys were there at the same time.
It was wild.
So while I was at the revival, I got prayer several times for my healing, and nothing happened. This one particular couple that. That would pray for me every time, they were kind of struck by the fact that I wasn't healed because people were coming in and getting healed right and left. Like, people would come in, like, crutches would just be left at the altars, wheelchairs left at the altars. Like, it was a normal atmosphere to walk in sick and to leave whole.
So they were so struck and puzzled by the fact that here I was, like, a week and a half into being at revival services, and I was still struck in pain and could hardly walk. So they were like, we want to meet with you in between services, and we want to have a team with us, and we want to minister to you. And so we did. And I remember them talking with me and saying, specifically, like, we want you to move from hope to belief. Like, tangible belief.
Grab hold of it. And then they all just started praying. No one had touched me yet, but I had flown. I forgot this until I read in my journal. But I, like, flew backwards, and someone caught me.
They stood me back up, and then they laid hands on me. And when they laid hands on me, like, burning hot heat came on my head and my entire body, it went down and it went out the bottoms of my feet. And as it went out my feet, the pain, like, did the same thing as the fire moved throughout my body. Like, the pain moved down and out, and it was gone in in a split second. After 13 months of never not being in pain, even with all the medications.
And I just started weeping. They said, do something you hadn't done but you couldn't do. So I just leaned over and touched the floor. I stood back up. I put my head to my shoulders.
I can't remember what else I did, but I just cried and cried. And there were students there that were praying with us, and they Were at this point rolling on the floor, laughing and crying just at the goodness and power of God fully on display.
I know we only have a. A few minutes, actually. We're out of time, but we're just going to take a couple more minutes. I mean, this isn't about God's desire to touch his people. And so in Summer's case, she received this miraculous healing.
And it was a common thing. Salvations, incredibly lost people, witches and warlocks that were there on assignment that would get saved. Just people lining up for church. I mean, we try every angle to get women to come to our events. I mean, in the auditorium, I think it sat like 2500 people.
And then the overflow similar. And people would get there just to encounter the presence of God. Does that mean everyone's heart was in the right place and authentic? Well, certainly not. People are people, but I can tell you that churches would send buses and I.
And that's what we did as a part of first assembly. And people were getting lit on fire and, you know, we could look and say, you know, all the things happening in the body of Christ. A lot of the grads from the revival school got disillusioned. Some of them aren't serving the Lord. But the reality is when we.
When we allow God to move and do what only he can do, there are those who stay. And here we have Jonathan in summer, through a May fast prayer, walked my neighborhood. Like staying in the goodness of God, but then also the possibility of what God wants to do in our midst. And that's what we're calling you to. There are lots of stories I could share from our prayer meetings before we ever even visited Brownsville.
But then the way he continued to show up. I've said this a lot lately. Our greatest memories should be in the presence of God. And he wants to do it again. So I would just say, Summer, if there's anything final you have to offer or anything you felt stirred about going back through your journals, you can certainly share that or you can just pray over us or do a combination of both.
What do you want to do?
I think I would. Did I turn it off? Hello? Okay. I think I would say there's so much more.
Even the greatness of what I've experienced in God's presence, like, I know there's more. And so that keeps me in this place of, like, I don't ever want to just go through the motions. I don't ever want to just come to another thing. I just. I don't ever want to Just have my normal, normal, quiet time with the Lord.
Like, he's so much more real than.
Than we even realize, than I even realize. And his presence is so. His goodness is so much greater. His who he is is so much better. So, like, I want more of that.
I want more of Him. I want more of his presence. I want more of his miracles. I want. I want to see the church tap into who we're supposed to be as a church.
Heaven on earth, walking in his ways. Preach, preacher. So if you're willing to give what you do have, that seems insignificant to you? Because I can tell you, in those days, Pastor Mel and I, the first time we ever went, we were like spies trying to see what all was happening. And it was a lot to look at, a lot of wild things.
I remember seeing the young man that looked like he was playing baseball, but it was like air baseball. It was like, not real. He's like, catching and throwing a ball, learning later that that was a big pain of his past, that his dad would never play ball with him. And then Jesus was. Well, that looked weird.
I didn't know where to put that right. But I kind of got in this place like, well, Lord, if it's you, I want you. And that's all for some weirdness or for producing something that looks like the move of God. Saul got in trouble for doing that. We're not going to light a fire.
That's strange fire and say, look, it's God. We're not doing that. But he is calling a people that want him more than we want what we want.
