Better than the Burning Bush

So how are we going to see Gen Z suicide free? Like we can't just shout that and see that happen, right? We have to do something about it. So I want to invite you guys after this night tonight go to our website, it's www.stayhere live. And you can check out all the things that we have.
We have free resources like free therapy, a free suicide prevention training so you can actually know how to save lives. We, we have a free crisis chat line. But here's what I really want you guys to check out. We are looking for students to bring this message onto your campus so that you can set captives free on your campus. So we just launched this thing called the stay here student ambassador program.
And we're looking for people like you on fire, believers in Jesus to bring revival to the lost and the broken, the hardest and darkest hearts. So can you guys check it out after this? We need some more people like you. There is fire in this room and we need that on campuses all across America. So I'm freaking out about what's gonna happen tonight because I just talked with some of your pastors about an encounter with God that I had five days ago.
And the encounter with God that I had was life changing for me. And I had no idea what your guys vision was as a youth ministry. Clay, are you in here right now? Can you. What is the vision again?
Can you say it?
A generation of burning hearts. A generation of burning hearts. So I have a story to tell you in just a few minutes, but I want to start with the word of God. So can you guys open up your Bibles if you have them with you to the book of Exodus, chapter three. We're going to read about the burning bush.
The title of my message tonight is are you flammable? Are you flammable? We're going to be talking about one person tonight. One person tonight he is the most important person in the room. I love this person and I want to keep calling him a person because we don't treat him like a person.
We treat him like another being, another thing. His name is Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit. And I think it's so sad. In the church we treat the Holy Spirit like he's just a cherry on the pie, like he's icing on the cake.
We treat the holy, we make conferences about the Holy Spirit or nights for the Holy Spirit like he isn't God. How many of you know that God is not just father and son? God is father, son or Holy Spirit. Amen. And tonight I want you to Receive an encounter with the Holy Spirit that keeps you burning until the day that you die.
And go and be with Jesus. I've been following Jesus for over 12 years now. And the only reason why I'm still burning for Jesus is because I received a baptism in the Holy Spirit. I received the fire of the Holy Spirit. And I was your age.
I was your age in a divorced home. My parents were fighting all the time. My home was messed up. But I'm burning. And I was burning in high school, and I'm still burning today because I experienced the Holy Spirit.
And I'm not just talking about, like, goosebumps. I'm not talking about the Holy Spirit chills that you get during worship. I am talking about God himself coming and making his home inside of me. God himself living inside of every part of me. And maybe during this conference, you've experienced the Holy Spirit.
I heard you guys have. I heard. It's been incredible. I heard that you felt God. You've encountered God.
Some of you have been healed. Some of you have been set free from things that you never dreamed about being set free from. Tonight, my prayer is this, that the Holy Spirit makes his home inside of you, and he stays there for good. The Holy Spirit wants to make his home in you. He wants to belong.
So I'm gonna get into this story in just a few minutes, but I wanna go through some Bible stories first. I don't wanna preach, just my own personal stories. I wanna show you that this is real. This is Bible here, what we're going to experience tonight. So this is the story of the burning bush.
Now, Moses was tending the flock of Jethro, his father in law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There, the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire, it didn't burn up. So Moses thought, go over and see this strange sight, why the bush isn't burning up.
When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called him from within the bush. Moses, Moses. And Moses said, here I am. Do not come any closer. God said, take off your sandals, for the place where you're standing is holy ground.
And then he said, I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and. And the God of Jacob. At this, Moses hid his face from God because he was afraid to look at God. So a few weeks ago, I just watched the Prince of Egypt movie with my daughters. Who's ever watched that movie before?
Like, best, Honestly, Why do we not make Christian movies like that anymore? It's like the best movie. So we watched that movie. And I'm like, I'm looking at my daughter's watch as I look over at this burning bush scene, and two of them have tears in their eyes as they're watching this. And every time I see that scene, I cry.
And here's the thought in my heart when I see that scene, when I read this story about the burning bush, I want that. Like, I want to encounter God like that. Who's ever had a thought like that? I want that. Like, I want to have a burning bush encounter with God.
I want to experience that. Wouldn't that be amazing? And I read stories in the Old Testament, not just of Moses and Moses seeing the Red Sea part, Moses seeing all these miracles and plagues happen, but there are other stories in the Old Testament, like Elijah and Elisha seeing the dead raised. Could you imagine if there was a dead person in this room? We prayed for them and they raised up from the dead.
Wouldn't that be crazy? These people saw miracles all the time in the Old Testament. And I read the Old Testament, and I'm like, man, I want that so bad. I want that. But what if I told you that all the miracles like the burning bush, like the parting of the Red Sea, like raising the dead that Elijah and Elisha saw, or the chariot of fire that Elijah went up in, what if I told you that Jesus set you up here and now for something far greater than that?
Would you believe me? Would you believe me? Let me read it to you. It says here in Second Corinthians, chapter 3, verse 7 through 18. Now, if the ministry that brought death, chiseled in letters on stones, came with glory so that the Israelites were not able to gaze steadily at Moses face because of its glory which was set aside, how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious?
For if the ministry that brought condemnation had glory, the ministry that brings righteousness overflows with even more glory. In fact, what had been glorious is not glorious now by comparison because of the glory that surpasses it. For what? That's crazy. Like, let me just stop there.
This is from the apostle Paul. This is in the New Testament here. Paul says this, by the way. Old Testament before the cross, New Testament after the resurrection. Okay, Paul, in the New Testament, an apostle of Jesus is saying, what we have is so much more glorious than what Moses had.
And if you compare the two, Moses versus you and I, Moses, what they experienced is no glory compared to what we have. How in the world can you say that? Well, here's why. Listen. Here it says, for if what was set aside was glorious, what endures will be even more glorious.
Since then, we have such a hope. We act with great boldness. We're not like Moses, who put a veil over his face to prevent the Israelites from gazing steady, steadily, until the end of the glory of what was being set aside. But their minds were hardened. For to this day, at the reading of the Old Testament, the same veil remains.
It's not lifted because it is set aside only by Christ. Yet still today, whenever Moses is read, a veil lies on their hearts. But whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is removed. Now the Lord is the Spirit. And where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
And we all with unveiled faces are looking as in a mirror at the glory of the Lord and are being transformed into the very same image. From glory to glory. And this is from the Lord, who is the Spirit. That last sentence is what so many people miss. How do we experience that?
How do we shine like Jesus? How do we experience something better than Moses and Elijah and Elisha and Abraham, Isaac and Jacob? It's if we receive the Spirit of the living God. Here's the deal. In the Old Testament, Moses had encounters with God.
He had touches from God. In the Old Testament, these men of God, these women of God, they had little touches from God. God just touched them here and there, right like this. But guess what? None of these men and women were blood bought and blood washed because they hadn't experienced the cross of Jesus yet.
But we're on the other side of the cross. And because of that, because we believe here in this room that Jesus Christ died for every single person in this room. Because we believe that we've been washed by the blood of Jesus. We. We can now be a home for the Holy Spirit to live inside.
So we don't just get touches from God. We don't just get these little encounters here and there from God. We are a house of God. We are a temple of the living God. His holy temple.
His holy habitation. Come on. God doesn't want to just dwell in rooms like this, in churches like this. God wants to live and dwell and move inside of you. He wants to burn within you, the living God.
Like, can we just stop and think about this for a moment? The same God who parted the Red Sea, the same God who created the heavens and the earth. The same God who lived inside of Jesus, the same spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead, he wants to live inside of you. He wants to live and dwell and move inside of you. I'm talking about the same spirit that lived in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
He has made a way to live inside of you because you have been washed clean by the blood of Jesus Christ. Come on. So many of you in this room are tired of being full of junk. You're tired of being full of spiritual junk food. We need to let it all go tonight.
There is a place in the Christian life where you can be completely filled with the Holy Spirit. Where there's no more room for darkness. There's no more room for the ways of the world. I can say this because it's Bible and I've experienced this. I've experienced God in such a way where I will never go back to my old life.
Can I tell you how? I was 16 years old and I was a Christian. I went to camps. I went to mission trips. I was a leader.
I was outspoken. People looked up to me. But I was a hypocrite Christian. I would raise my hands at things like this all the time. I was such a good actor for God.
A lot of youth pastors wanted me to join the internship. They wanted me to be a student leader. But what they didn't know is every weekend I was smoking, I was drinking, I was partying with my friends. Every time I went to the mall, I would steal something from PACSung or Zoomies. That was me when no one else was watching.
That was this fake Christian Jacob. Until one night my dad came home from a Bible study. And what he experienced changed everything. My dad got invited to a men's group. And this was no typical men's Bible study.
They weren't just like in a circle talking about, be a better godly man, brother. Be a good man. No. These men were encountering the Holy Spirit. My dad came home.
I'm in the basement. I'm playing Halo 2 on my Xbox 360. Come on. The lights are dim. It's dark in there.
And my dad comes home at 10 o' clock on a Monday night. And when he walks into the house, he looks different. The look in his eyes was different. The look on his face, the countenance of his face was different. It was dark in the room, but there was a light on my dad's face.
And guess what happened to me? My dad walked in, he said, hey, Jacob, how you doing? And as soon as I looked at him, I dropped my controller and I said, get the bleep away from me. Why do you think that happened? Why did I say that?
I was scared. And the darkness inside of me was really scared. You see, I had demons. I had so much darkness in me that the darkness in me knew that the light was getting closer. There was so much light coming towards me that it had to go.
It had no choice but to get up and leave. But then there was a little bit of faith inside me. And I said, no, no, no, dad, please help me. Please help me. And right then and there, on a Monday night, I confess all my sins to my dad.
Stuff that could have got me like grounded forever. I said, dad, I've got a whole stash of this here. I got a stash. This here. This is how I sneak out of the house.
This is how I do that. Dad, just help me. Help me. And he said, he's crying and he said, son, I can help you. Because Jesus changed me forever.
Tonight I got baptized in the Holy Spirit. I'm delivered. And our whole family is going to be different now. I said, please take me to what you were just at. He said, well, it's led by like a 75 year old man, so he's way asleep right now.
But next Monday you'll go. You'll go. I had to wait a whole week. I couldn't stop thinking about this place. I wanted this so bad.
Because, you know, I grew up in the church. I grew up in a big church, but I never saw what I saw in my dad. I knew that my dad had something real. See, I was like most of the other Christians in my church. We praise God on Sundays and Wednesday nights, but every other day we act like hell.
We act like the rest of the world. And that's not what we're gonna do after this camp. That's not what we're gonna do after this conference.
So my dad takes me and my brother to this Bible study the next Monday night. And I freaked out again. I walked in and there's the old man. His name's Eldon. Like, what a perfect name for this man.
Cause he's literally like a wizard. Like he's got like this white hair and a beard. He is like a wizard man. So Eldon greets me. He's like, hello, I've heard great things about you.
He literally talks like that. I've heard great things about you. I said, well, I've heard great things about you too. I heard you can deliver Me, I don't know what that even means, but I so bad. And then I meet all these other men in this group and all of them had that same glow that my dad had.
Like, it wasn't a glow up like you see on social media. It was this holy glow. They had a holy glow. It was something so supernatural in that room because all these men were flammable. They were burning for Jesus.
And in order to be flammable for Jesus, in order to be flammable, to allow the fire of the Holy Spirit to burn in you, you have to repent. You have to turn from your old life. You have to turn from your wicked ways. The Bible says you have to turn away from the ways of this world. And I don't mean a little bit.
I mean completely. You need to give your life completely to Jesus Christ. This is the way of the Christian life. We don't live 95% for Jesus and 5% for the world. We live completely for Jesus Christ.
And all these men weren't fake Christians. They weren't one foot in the world and one foot living for Jesus. How is that even going to work? How are you going to do anything for Jesus if you only have one foot living for Jesus? Look, this is what happens, Jesus.
You're just going to walk in circles. But if you're two feet forward living for Christ, you can move forward and you can go from glory to glory. And this is what these men had. So I sat down, I listened to Eldon preach this message about the gospel of Jesus and forgiveness. And I received forgiveness for my sins.
I had so much shame, so much guilt, so much condemnation, guys. I had so much shame that I couldn't sleep at night when I was in bed. I know some of you have experienced that, just feeling all alone in your own sin. It's a terrible feeling to feel when you're in bed and all your sins catching up to you. And you're like, you did that.
You really did that, bro. You really hurt that girl in that way. You really took that substance. You really lied to your parents like that. You really said that to that person.
And period. It caught up to me. And I needed freedom so bad. I needed it so bad. So I received forgiveness through this message.
I believe that Jesus did forgive me. He did come to save me. And then I raised my hand and this is where everything really changed. When I raised my hand, I said, I need the baptism in the Holy Spirit. What is that?
I need it. And Eldon said, do you believe in Jesus? So then Eldon led me to Jesus. First. He's sitting in his big, like, master La Z boy chair in this room.
I'm on a couch, and I gave my life to Jesus. And then he said, okay, are you ready to receive the Holy Spirit? I said, I'm ready. I had no idea what was going to happen to me. I had no idea.
This man gets out of his chair. He slowly walks over to me and he says, all right, here we go. And I close my eyes like, I didn't know you guys. You guys got it, man. I saw you guys worshiping up here.
You're good with the hand waves and the dancing and all that stuff. Like, I didn't know what I was doing. I. I literally do, like, the emoji prayer hands just like this. And he puts his hand on my shoulder and he says, in the name of Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit, come. Well, as the Holy Spirit came, demons had to leave first.
And I just remember screaming and crying as rage and lust and anger and. And all my addictions began to leave one by one. I literally felt the hand of God pull them out of my chest. And then I was empty. I felt so empty, but so ready, so ready for God.
And then he said, okay, you're ready. You're free. Let's receive the Holy Spirit. He put his hand on me again. And this is when things got wild.
When he put his hand on my shoulder, he said, holy Spirit, come. And all of a sudden, I felt this. My eyes were closed. I'm still in my emoji hands position, but I felt like this actual physical weight fall on my head. And then I opened my eyes thinking, like, are there a bunch of these men around me pouring, like, honey on my head?
Like, are they putting a blanket on me? What is this? No one was touching me. And I'm still feeling this weight, this heavy weight. And it was so much love inside of this weight fall on my head.
And then I don't know if you guys have ever been on a farm, but do you guys know those, like, electric fences? Has anyone ever touched one of those? You guys are crazy. I felt like I was touching one of those. All of a sudden, my hands start to shake, and I feel this electricity, this electricity just flow through my body from my head to my feet.
My hands are shaking. I feel like I'm being just zapped. But it was good. Like, it didn't hurt. It was good.
And then all of a sudden, I start praising God. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. I'm crying, I'm laughing. And then all of a sudden, another language comes out of me.
My face is beat red because I'm like, what is this? I only know English. I am failing in Spanish at school, and I only know English. This is not English. This is not Spanish.
What is this? And then Eldon said, have you ever read the Bible, son? I said, a little bit. He said, have you ever read Acts, chapter two? In the book of Acts, chapter two, the Holy Spirit fell in the upper room on the day of Pentecost.
Over 120 believers. And they received a new language. They spoke in tongues. That's exactly what's happening to you, Jacob. And then I was like, can I keep doing this?
And it just came out. That night was the night that marked me forever. It marked me forever. I still love Jesus with all my heart because of what happened that night. I really pray that people get marked by the Holy Spirit like that.
Tonight I saw the saddest TikTok the other day. It was this girl. This is camp season, right? There's a lot of people who are going to Christian camps right now. It's summertime.
This reel went viral. And the comments were so sad. It was this girl in her room, and she said, no one ever talks about the feeling of when you get home after camp and you're different and everyone else in your home is the same. She said, no one ever talks about that. And she was so sad.
She looked so sad. She looked like she'd been home for a few days. And I go to the comments. There are thousands of comments, thousands of comments. Some of them were so sad.
Some of them were from Christians who are no longer Christian. I know, I know. It's just the camp high. It's just the conference high. It'll fade away.
Don't worry, honey. You'll come to your senses soon. And a lot of them were just a bunch of people your age saying, I know. It's so hard. They're burning out the light.
They're dimming our light. So many people in the comments didn't realize what's actually inside of them. If you knew who is inside of you, your light would shine brighter than all of the darkness inside of your home, inside of your school, and inside of your city. Are you kidding me? You have the light of Jesus inside of you.
I didn't think for a minute that I was in a dark place. When I was in dark places, my parents actually ended up getting a divorce. It was so sad. My dad gave his life to Jesus. He got filled with the Holy Spirit.
But my mom went the exact other way all at the same time. My parents got a divorce. I never thought my fire was gonna burn out in that season because my eyes were locked on Jesus. I was in love with Jesus. I was full of the Holy Spirit.
I was addicted to praying in the Holy Spirit. I was addicted to the presence of God. I didn't want anything or anybody else. I didn't want a girlfriend. I didn't want this or that.
I wanted Holy Spirit. And I would invite friends over to my house and we had Holy Spirit nights. I said, when you're so tired of getting high, when you're tired of coming home drunk, come to my house. Because me and my brother are in the basement praying in tongues. Come over to my house and you'll get sober.
Come over to my house and you'll experience a love that you've never felt before. And I had some of the craziest people show up to my house getting delivered, getting saved, getting healed. Because that TikTok video, that TikTok thing I saw the other day is not the Christian life. The Christian life is this. You in this room, you have been touched by God this week.
You have encountered God this week. Nobody can take that away. No experience can take that away. No lie from the pit of hell can take that away. You have experienced God himself.
Don't let people steal that from you because Jesus talks about this. There's the parable of the sower where the seed is sown and things try to come and snatch it away. Young person, don't let the world, your friend, group, family members who don't get it yet, take this from you. This is treasure that you've experienced, is it not? This is treasure.
This is better than anything else that you could ever experience.
So for you here in this place tonight, I really believe that this encounter I had five days ago, I want to see imparted in this room. So I want to read one more scripture and then I want to tell you this story. This was the craziest thing that happened to me and it really lines up with your guys vision and mission. So let me read one more scripture to you and I want to share this story. And then we're just going to let God move in your hearts.
Jesus tells us that it's better that he went. It's better than he went. He says now I'm going away to him who sent me. And no one, not one of you, asked me, where are you going yet? Because I've spoken these things to you.
Sorrow has Filled your heart. Nevertheless, I tell you the truth. It's for your benefit that I go away. Because if I don't go away, the counselor will not come to you. And if I go, I will send him to you.
Who's the counselor that Jesus is sending? Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit. How many of you guys would love to sit at a meal with Jesus, sit at a table with Jesus physically. Wouldn't that be amazing?
Like, I'm all the time. I am jealous of the disciples that they gotta spend three years with Jesus. That's incredible. But Jesus is literally saying this, hey, I'm going to go soon. They're going to kill me.
And then three days later, I'm going to rise from the dead. And after that, I'm going to ascend to the right hand of God, and I'm not going to be here with you. But it's better that I go, because then I can fill you with my own spirit. Jesus says that it's better not to just be next to him, but to be. He says it's better that he lives inside of us.
It's better that Jesus lives inside of you than for you to be next to Jesus. And that's hard for you to grasp because you can't see him. You can't see the Holy Spirit. But, young person, I feel the Holy Spirit. I have encountered the Holy Spirit.
And we are all going to encounter him in this place tonight in just a few minutes. Jesus even says this in Acts, chapter one. It says while he was with them, he commanded them, the disciples, not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for the Father's promise, which he said, you've heard me speak about. For John baptized you with water, but you will be baptized in the Holy Spirit. And just a few days, the baptism in the Holy Spirit.
It's not water baptism. You guys got baptized in water just a few days ago. The baptism in the Holy Spirit is being filled again and again and again, completely saturated, immersed with the Spirit, the breath, the very essence of God himself. The word baptism comes from this word baptizo in Greek, and it literally means to pickle. It means to take a cucumber, put it in vinegar and turn it into a pickle.
God wants to pickle you in his presence. That's what he wants to do. We are boring cucumbers sometimes without Jesus, but He wants to dunk you in himself and turn you into a zesty pickle. That's what he wants to do tonight.
So five days ago, I was sitting at my fence, I was leaning against my fence. And I was tired. I was leaning, and I looked at the mountains in my backyard. There's like, this cool mountain hill. And I just said to God, God, I am tired.
I am tired. I am weary. With this organization that we lead. Stay here. There's bad news.
A lot of the time, people die by suicide. And it is heartbreaking, and it's heavy. It's hard work. So I'm just praying to God, I said, God, I am tired. And God speaks to me so quickly.
He says, are you flammable? I had no idea what that meant five days ago. No idea. I just said, make me flammable. I guess I have no idea what you're asking me.
I said, I am tired. Do you have anything you want to say to that God? He said, are you flammable? I said, make me flammable. Give me oil.
Give me your spirit. Help me. I don't know. Yes, make me flammable. So the next night, I tuck my kids in, and I have to get something from the garage.
So I go outside, and I felt like someone was watching me. Have you guys ever felt that before when you're outside? Like, I felt like someone was watching me. Someone was close to me. And as I got closer to my garage, I started really, like, looking around.
Is there anyone around me? Is that you, God? And I felt God whisper to me, worship me. Worship me. And this Bible verse comes into my mind.
It's Leviticus, chapter 6, verse 13. And in Leviticus, chapter 6, Verse 13, here's what God asks us to do. He asked priests to do this. He says, meanwhile, the fire on the altar must be kept burning. It must never go out.
Each morning, the priest will add fresh wood to the fire and arrange the burnt offering on it. He will burn the fat of the peace offerings. And remember, the fire must keep burning on the altar at all times. It must never go out. As I heard that verse in my head, I just searched it on YouTube, like, is there a song about this, A teaching on this?
And I remembered there's this old song from, like, three or four years ago that this band called Upper Room sings. So I turn it on on my tv, and I'm just singing it. And it's this song where this guy sings. I feel my heart beating out of my chest. I want to stay forever like this Let the flame in my heart always be lit I want to stay forever like this.
And I'm singing this song. And as I'm singing this song in my living room with the TV on, I Start to feel a physical fire in my heart. My heart starts burning even in this room right now, before I even complete this story. I just want to pray right now from the front to the back that this would begin to happen to you.
Just put your hand on your heart.
Holy Spirit, we give you the room.
Holy Spirit, we give you the room.
Holy Spirit, would you move?
Holy Spirit, make us flammable.
Holy Spirit, would you let hearts burn in this room? Would you let hearts burn for you? Holy Spirit, baptize us in fire. We pray. Baptize us in fire.
Thank you, Jesus. As I'm telling you this story, if you feel a fire in your chest, I want you to just slowly make your way to the altar. I just believe it's going to start happening here in this room. Just make your way to the altar and just encounter the Lord.
This is a place where fire is going to fall. Thank you, Lord.
I feel this fire in my chest as I'm singing this song. And I look at my wife and I said, what's happening to me? I was scared. I literally was scared. There's been few times where I've been scared.
I said, what's happening to me, Mariah? What's happening to me? Do you feel that? I said, put your hand on my chest. It's, like burning hot.
And I kept worshiping. I'm like, I'm going to keep worshiping. And then I just start crying. And I said, God, what are you doing? What are you doing in me right now?
Why are you burning in me like this? Like, I wasn't fasting. I wasn't seeking him hardcore. For hours, every day, I just said, God, make me flammable. Make me flammable for you.
And this fire started to increase in my heart as I worshiped. As I said, I want to burn. I want this heart inside of me to burn for you. It got so intense that I fell to my knees and I began to weep in the presence of God. My daughters woke up because of it.
They ran downstairs. They're like, what's going on with dad? My wife said, don't worry, Dad's getting touched by Jesus right now. They're encountering God as they go back upstairs. And I had this vision.
And in this vision, as I've experienced this, as I'm experiencing this, I was in this dark space. It felt like I wasn't even in my living room anymore. I was in this dark space and I saw a heart. It was this giant heart right in front of me, and it's beating and it's burning on fire. It is blazing hot.
And I knew as soon as I saw this, I knew it was the heart of God the Father. And I knew that the Father's heart was turning towards me and it was coming towards me and it was going to burn inside of me. And as I experienced this, the fire inside of God's heart came into my heart and I experienced a love from God that I had never experienced before. Young person, I'm telling you, I've never experienced something like this before. I don't battle with sin like, I don't battle with crazy sins and stuff, but I battle with little sins like insecurity, with anxiety here and there.
I battle stuff like it's hard to forgive people sometimes. I battle some hurts from people that have rejected me in the past. Little things like that, they add up. And in a moment, as I'm experiencing the heart of the Father burn inside my heart, every single bit of insecurity, every single bit of anxiety, every single bit of fear, it left me. Every wound from every person that every wound and longing that I had for an applause, for attention from other people, for affection for other people, it was gone.
Because I had the heart of God inside of me and I needed nothing else. I didn't need anybody or anything else. I was complete. I was complete. I was healed.
I am whole. Standing on this stage today. I've never experienced something like that before. I was telling you About a few 10, 12 years ago, me experiencing the Holy Spirit. I was baptized in the Holy Spirit.
But this baptism that I received just five days ago, it was the burning heart of the love of God. And it changed everything for me. It changed everything for me. Because it wasn't just God's burning heart for me that I experienced where I was free from every bit of insecurity, every bit of fear, all anxiety, all that weariness that I was feeling, it was gone in a moment. But the next thing I experienced was God the Father's burning heart for his son, Jesus.
And I just in that moment in my living room, I went into radical worship for Jesus, radical love for Jesus. I felt Jesus heart and the Father's heart so intertwined and so full of love for each other. I never experienced something like this before. I'm standing here five days later, so much more in love. Like I didn't know I could be more in love with Jesus.
I am so much more in love with Jesus than I've ever been before. It's hard to even put words to what I felt like I'm trying my best, but this changed everything for me. Everything.
And as I experienced first the love of God for myself, then the love of the Father for Jesus, then it became the love of the Father for the world, the love of God for the world.
And that's something that's so easy for me to experience now, because I don't need the world to love me. I'm loved by the Father. I don't need people to love me for me to be complete, for me to feel good. I'm completely loved by God the Father. So I experience this burning heart of God for the lost and the broken in this world.
And I want every person in this room to experience a baptism of God's fire tonight. It changes everything. It changes everything. And here's the crazy part about this encounter that I had.
God just asked me a question, and then he did the rest. He said, jacob, are you flammable? Are you flammable? And I just said, God, I am willing. I am willing.
Make me flammable, even in your own heart. Tonight, can you begin to ask the Lord to make you flammable? Don't be fireproof. We're fireproof when we carry a fence. We're fireproof when we carry unforgiveness.
We're fireproof when we're not willing to give up our sin. God doesn't want you to be fireproof. He wants to light you on fire tonight with himself. He wants to light you on fire tonight with the Holy Spirit.
We can burn like Jesus burned with love. We can have that same love. We can have that same encounter that Jesus walked in every single day on this earth because he's given us the promise of the Holy Spirit.
So if you're hungry for that right now, if you're hungry for a fresh touch of God's fire inside of you, I want to give you that opportunity. I want to count to three, and I want more people to come to this altar and experience it. And this is something, this fire that's going to touch you, it will never burn out. It will never go away. When you experience this fire still five days later, my chest is still burning.
I'm still in love with God. I'm still in love with God like I've never experienced before. I'm still free.
So if you want to experience this fire of the Holy Spirit in just a moment, I want to count to three, and I want you to make your way to the front to receive this. 1, 2, 3. Come on, make your way to the front.
Thank You, Lord.
Thank you, Lord.
Thank you, Jesus.
Just in your own words, don't look around. Ask him. God, fill me with the spirit of God. God, fill me with your Holy Spirit. Fill me with your fire healing.
He will answer you. He's a good father. He's a good father. You don't need to beg him. Just ask him.
You don't need to beg him. Just ask him. He's such a good father. God, fill me with fire. Fill me with the fire of the Holy Spirit.
I want my heart to burn in love with you. I want my heart to burn in love for you. I want to experience your burning heart towards me. Just in your own words. Ask him, Lord, show me your heart.
Give me your heart of love.
Thank you, Holy Spirit. Would you just come, Holy Spirit, we ask you to come and move from the front to the back right now, Holy Spirit. Like a mighty rushing wind. Like a fire. Would you move in this room?
Would you move in this room, Holy Spirit? Would you baptize us anew and afresh right now? God, Would you fill us from our heads to our feet? Would you make us burn for you, Holy Spirit? Holy Spirit, Every part of us.
Let it burn our sin. We give it away. Our past, we give it away. Our secrets, we give it away. Our insecurities, anxiety, Anxiety.
God, we give it away. Come on, give it away. Give it away. Don't be fireproof. Be flammable.
Just repent right now. Give away everything you've been holding on to so that you could burn. He wants to burn in you. He wants to burn in you.
Holy Spirit, would you take it? Help us to give us. Help us to give you our will. Help us to give. Give you our faith.
Help us to give you our trust. Help us, Holy Spirit. Help us to say yes. Help us to give it all away. Help us, Holy Spirit.
We need your help. Help us to burn for you.
Lord, we just place ourselves on your altar tonight. We place our lives on your altar. And we ask that your fire would fall. Fall. Let fire fall on this sacrifice of praise God.
Let fire fall on us, Holy Spirit. We don't want just goosebumps. We don't want just a little touch. We want God. We want you.
We want you, Holy Spirit. Come and live in us. Come and take your place inside of our hearts. Make yourself home inside of us. Come, Holy Spirit.
Come. Come, Holy Spirit. Heal us, God, from our wounds. Heal our anxiety. God.
Heal the depression. Heal the addictions. God, would you take it in Jesus name, Take it.
