Relationship with Holy Spirit

There you go. You're welcome. Don't you guys love Faith? Isn't she awesome? Don't you guys love Bailey?

Where's Bailey? Yeah, she's over there. Yeah. Don't we love Jesus?

Isn't he the best? Guys, worship was amazing. I was. I was enjoying worship back there, and I have my youngest daughter with me. Her name is Eden, and she's a year and a half.

So we just got in today, and she had two flights this morning that she did. So she was a little overstimulated earlier, and I had to run back, put her down and come back. But when I came in, it was like I never left because he's here. Okay? I want you to get excited about who's here.

He's here. And when I say he, I'm talking about this incredible Godhead that we serve, and it's the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Do you know that God is actually three in one? And that he's a. It's like every.

It's like a personhood for every three. And I think it's been amazing that some of you were baptized this morning. And I heard those baptisms in the ocean, and I was just rejoicing about how incredible the day is when you get baptized and how you feel and you just know, oh, man, like, I really have died and. And left my sin and now I'm risen again in Christ. But you know when you hear these things like, man, deny yourself, pick up your cross, follow Jesus, and you open your Bible and you read these things, you're just like, how am I going to do that?

Like, that seems really hard, right? We read the Gospels and we open up our Bibles and we start reading what Jesus was saying. And he was saying, blessed are the poor, right? Blessed are the hungry. Blessed are those who, you know, are persecuted.

All those things seem difficult, or is it just me? Right? Like loving your enemy, forgiving your enemy. It's not easy, right? It's actually.

It's actually really difficult and borderline impossible. And I want to talk about a person. Actually, he's my best friend. And I want to talk about my best friend. And you may think it's Brian Barcelona, and it is.

I love Brian Barcelona. He's my husband. I love him. But I want to talk about my very, very best friend, the Holy Spirit. And, yeah, I love the Holy Spirit.

And I want you to get to know Holy Spirit, and I want you to. To know that the Holy Spirit desires friendship with you. That the Holy Spirit is not just someone that you come into these. These camps and you feel these things and you do these adventurous things and you're just like, man, it was nice. You know, that moment just impacted me.

But then in the daily walk, you don't know him like, he wants you to know that he can be with you daily, that he can be with you at every moment. When you wake up, when you go to sleep, when you have conflict, when you look at yourself in the mirror and you don't feel secure about who you are, and you're going through insecurities and you're going through betrayals and you're going through things. The Holy Spirit, Spirit wants to be there for you. The Holy Spirit wants to be your friend. So can we get in today and find out who the Holy Spirit is?

Can I take you on a journey? Yeah. Okay. We're going to have a family moment. Okay.

I'm a mom, so as a mom, I like to have family moments. I have kids. I have. We have four kids, and my oldest is 8 years old, and I have three girls and one boy. So I have eight, six, four.

And a year and a half. I'm a busy mom. Okay. But they have a ton of questions, and I get to homeschool them, which is another wild journey that I can only do through the Holy Spirit. But they have a ton of questions, and I love their questions.

I love that I can ask the Holy Spirit and that I can open my Bibles and I can answer their questions. So today, some of you may be sitting here with questions of who is Holy Spirit? We talk about the Spirit or we speak in a different tongue. But what. What is that?

Or who is he? Okay, so when I say the Holy Spirit, I want you to know that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the Father, the Spirit of Jesus, and the one who lives in us and works through all that we accepted Christ in. So the one that's living on the inside of you is Jesus, but it's the spirit of the living God that is living on the inside of you. The day you choose to believe and you say yes to Jesus, okay, you're born into the Spirit. That means that your old self is dead and you've become a new creation, by the way, that you believe.

But when you start walking and you start knowing more of who Jesus is, something happens which happened today. You choose to be baptized. Do you know that Jesus walked for 30 years before he was baptized? I'm talking about Jesus himself, walking in the Spirit. But the Holy Spirit came to him the day he Was baptized.

So the Holy Spirit wants to not. Not for you to just be born into the Spirit, but he wants to fill you with the Spirit so that you can walk in the Spirit. You can walk daily, having fellowship with the Spirit. Is this exciting? Yes.

I want you to be excited. This is exciting news. Okay, so the Holy Spirit is eternal. The Holy Spirit was there in the beginning, and he's there in the end. He's not just placed in the New Testament.

He is. The Holy Spirit is in the Old Testament. Do we love our Bible? We're going to get into our Bible today. Okay.

Do you guys have your Bibles? Okay, I want you to open your bibles to Genesis 1, 1 and 2.

So this is where we see the Holy Spirit for the first time. We see that the manifestation of the Spirit was over the Earth. It says, as he hovered over the face of the waters while the earth was still dark and without form, who hovered over the face of the waters? The Spirit. Isn't that amazing?

The Holy Spirit was present while the Godhead was creating. Okay, look at this. Let's look at this. Okay. Genesis 15:17.

If you can go there, want you to. Guy, I want. I want to talk to you tonight, but I want you to go back when you can. When you have moments with the Lord in the secret. I want you to go back and I want you to open your Bibles, and I want your Bible to come alive.

Because the Word was meant to be alive in us. That's why it's called the bread of life, because it's supposed to feed us. And so when it's alive in the spirit and we look at it, it's fresh in Revelation. That's why, interestingly enough, when Jesus said, this is how you pray, and he talked about the Lord's Prayer, he said, ask for daily bread. That means that you need daily bread and you need the Word, but you need the spirit of the living God to bring that word to life.

Does that make sense? Okay, check this out. Genesis 15:17 says, When God conf. We're going. We're going back.

Wait, we're going back. Let's go to Genesis 1 again. Genesis 2. But when God created Adam, do you know what God did with Adam? He breathed into what, his nostrils?

Yes, the breath of life. What is the breath of life? The Holy Spirit. So we are made up of body, soul and spirit. Interesting, right?

Because we're formed in the image and the likeness of our Maker. And he's a Godhead, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. So he breathes Life into us. And it's his spirit that gives us life. Guys, this is good news.

I want you to be excited about the Bible. I want you to be excited about who he really is. My prayer tonight is that every ideology that you formed of the Holy Spirit, that the spirit of the living God would come and breathe life into you and that you would know him. There's one thing to have an experience or an encounter, but there's a difference to knowing God. There's a difference to walking with God.

And the only way that we can actually do it is through the Holy Spirit. The only way we can deny ourselves, the only way that we can pick up our cross, the only way that we can follow Jesus is through the spirit of the living God. And I wanna, I'm like, I feel like I'm presenting a table before you and I have all this incredible food and I don't want you to think that it's not for you, because it is. I want you to come and just eat up. Like when I cook and I cook to my family and I do it with my kids, you know, I love it when they eat all the food, but it kind of crushes my heart when they're like, I hated that spaghetti, mom.

It was the worst. And I'm like, oh, no. You know, I'm thankful that they tell me they don't like my spaghetti, but at the same time I'm like, man, I really wanted you to love that spaghetti, but thank you. Who said you like my spaghetti? There you go.

Thank you, guys. I like to make spaghetti, so I pray that they would love the spaghetti. But when I'm offering you someone who has made such an impact in my life and I, I believe that tonight many of you will feel safe about who he is, will feel secure that you can open your hearts to him and he can transform your heart and he can renew your mind. Because only the spirit of the living God can do that. Guys, I want to tell you a story.

I was five years old. I was raised. I was born into Christianity. My parents are pastors. They were pastors.

Now they're living with me. But we were in church and I remember being five years old and I was running a fever and I remember telling my mom, mom, I have a fever. Like, do you think it's a good idea we go to church? And she smiled and she said, you know what? Why don't we go to church?

And you just might get healed. And I remember as a five year old thinking, I don't know if that's a good idea. But okay. So I remember she brought me to church and there was an altar like this. And I remember there was worship and praise happening just like, like, just like it was earlier with Bailey.

I remember as a five year old, I was so a child attracted to the presence of God. Does that happen to you? You're just attracted. There's something in you that is longing to be in his presence. As a five year old, I was longing to be in the presence of God, especially in my weakness.

And so I remember running to the altar and I just started dancing. And I remember this presence just coming. And as a five year old, you know when children get touched by God, you know God's in the room because children are so. They're just so pure. They're so honest.

And so as a five year old, I started crying and I started feeling the fever lift up out of my body and I started weeping and I was like, is that you, God? Like, is that really you? I remember running to my mother and saying, mom, I don't think I have a fever anymore. And she like touched me and she was like, you don't like, you're good. And I remember feeling like, oh my gosh, he really loves me.

He's really real. He's really present. And his presence can really transform and heal you. This is real. Do you believe it?

Do you believe it? Because you're the one that has to believe it. That longing has to exist in you. So I talk about the Holy Spirit. I'm talking about a person who really wants you to know him and to have a friendship and a relationship with him.

And just like in the Old, we see it in Adam, we see it in Abraham. We see it as we look at the prophets of the Old Testament and we look at Samuel. Do you know what Samuel did when he went and anointed the kings with the oil? What does the oil represent? The spirit.

And he went and anointed Saul. And it says, the spirit of the Lord was on Saul. Saul. And when Saul disobeyed and Saul chose the things that he did, it says the spirit departed from Saul. And then who did it?

Who? Who was anointed as king? David. Samuel went to David and anointed him as king. And then David becomes king.

And does David have flaws? If you read the Bible, you'll see. Yes, right, Right. He committed sin. And in his sin, right, we see a famous kind of sin about him.

It's so crazy how he had scandals too. And David comes right with Bathsheba. And he does the things he did. He kills a man. And it says he was grieved.

Do you know why he was grieved? Do you know why David was grieved? Because he didn't want the spirit of the living God removed from him, even though he was in sin. His repentance was because he understood, I cannot live without the spirit of God in my life. There are three things that will stop you from living this life of intimacy with the Holy Spirit.

One of them is Satan, sin, and self. I want you to take note of that three things. Satan, sin, and self. Satan comes to kill, steal and destroy anything, any work of the living God on your life. Satan will kill, steal and destroy.

You know, like what? He likes to destroy your identity. Let's talk about that. You know what Satan loves to do? Accuse you?

He loves to tell you you're good for nothing. You'll never do that. Like, that'll never happen, right? He puts you in instant failure and accusation.

And you know what yourself sounds like. Guys, you have to understand that the Holy Spirit is the one that leads you to knowing the voice of God. The Holy Spirit opens up your ears, opens up your senses and your heart, and you can hear the voice of God. If there's one thing I can leave tonight is for you to have the ability to hear him, for you to know that you can hear God. And it's through his word and it's by his spirit.

But he does speak. He's alive.

And there is something that wants to stop you. And it's Satan and it's sin and it's self. And there's a voice of Satan. That sounds like accusation. And there's a voice of self.

And yourself is, oh, I'm ugly. Oh, I'm just. I'm just not. I'm not gonna be able to do that. Like, I can't sound familiar.

Like it's really good for that person. But it's not gonna happen for me. What do I have to. Maybe I have to do more. Maybe I have to be a better Christian.

Sound familiar? That's self. Those three things get in the way from the Holy Spirit really coming in and having a say about your life. Are you guys with me? You guys understanding, teaching you?

Tonight I just felt like it was important. I feel like you guys had these moments with the Lord of surrender and. And being baptized. But there comes something that happens when you're baptized, and it's the Holy Spirit. He comes and he dwells.

And where does he take you? He takes you to Live life. And you know where he took Jesus? To the desert. When the Holy Spirit came upon Jesus as a dove.

Jesus was then led into a desert. And you know why he was led into a desert? To fast for 40 days. But it was to overcome Satan who came at Jesus in the desert. Satan and the spirit of the living God taught Jesus.

Jesus what to say and how to defeat what was happening to him in the desert. And it's only through the Spirit of God that you can truly learn how to pray. It's only through the spirit of the living God that you can open up this word and have fresh revelation. And this, this is the weapons that you need to come into battle against Satan. You need the spirit of God and you need your word.

Why am I telling you this? Gen Z. I believe that you will be the generation that knows the Holy Spirit and that knows the word of God. In John 4, when Jesus speaks to this Samaritan woman, he says there's coming a day when worshipers will rise in spirit and truth.

And this woman becomes one of the greatest evangelists we've ever seen because she was touched. She was touched by the Spirit, she was touched by Jesus and she understood. Wait, I don't just have to worship in a synagogue because I'm not received. I'm a Samaritan. So you're saying that this is going to actually happen in my heart.

You're saying that the revolution is going to begin in my inward being. The revolution will exist inside your heart. Where does the Holy Spirit want to dwell in your heart so he can reveal to you the things that you don't even know? Is this equipping you? Is this helping you?

I want to equip you. I believe that the greatest days are coming. But. But I also believe that you will have trials, you will have testings and things will happen in your life and you will need the Holy Spirit. You're going to need him.

So tonight I just. I want to be able to present him to you because I feel like he's going to do something in your life. I have expectation. I have faith in my heart about you and the Holy Spirit. I want to talk about someone else real quick.

I want to talk about. Let's go to the New Testament now. Let's go to Luke. Let's go to Luke 1:35. In the new Testament, we see the spirit of the living God coming first over who?

A virgin girl called Mary. We see a teenage girl be filled with the Holy Spirit for the first time. It says, right, that as Mary conceived Jesus. It was by the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit was placed on the inside of Mary and conceived the Son of God.

Do you see this? Okay. And then Luke 3:22:4 to 1 says Jesus was filled with the Spirit at his baptism and then was led into the wilderness by the Spirit. I want you to know something. Jesus was born out of Mary of the Spirit at his conception, filled with the Spirit at his baptism, and walked in the power of the Spirit for the rest of his life.

Jesus had the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. He was walking in it. Do you see that? So Jesus offered himself, right, as a sacrifice. How did he do that?

How did he endure the sufferings that he endured? How did he endure betrayal? How did he? How did he endure? I mean, his own people didn't recognize him.

His own people weren't about him. But it was only through the Holy Spirit that he was able to go to the cross. This is about a man. This is about Jesus, our life. When we are baptized, when we are placed under those waters, we are left there ourself and is left there.

And when we come up, the Holy Spirit fills us and we are a new creation in Christ Jesus. That means that when you walk, you walk as Christ and Christ crucified.

You will be about your Father's business. But in order to be about your Father's business, you need to be filled with the Holy Spirit to be empowered to walk out the Gospel. This is good news. The good news is that we can be filled with the Holy Spirit. That we can actually deny ourselves, that we can actually pick up our cross, that we can actually follow Jesus and that we can represent Jesus to the lost.

Guys. This is good news.

Are you getting it?

This is. You don't graduate. Listen, I've been following the Lord for 16 years. I don't want to tell you how old I am, but I've been following the Lord for 16 years. And I remember the day that I was filled with the Holy Spirit and I was empowered by the Spirit and.

And guess what happened? Everything looked different. And I had a hunger to tell everyone about Jesus. And I always look back to that day daily because I'm like God. I don't ever want to forget.

I don't want to become a professional Christian that thinks I'm spiritual or that I have any sort of leadership. Because you know what all I really want is, is to represent Jesus and to be a servant and to love him. That at the end of my life I can be before him in the throne. And he could say, marcella, I was waiting for you, my good and faithful servant.

Right? Isn't that what we want? Guys, I believe Gen Z, this is what you're gonna be about. I do. I believe you are going to walk this out.

It's not going to be about celebrity Christianity. It's not going to be about how many followers like you on Instagram or TikTok or, I don't know, so many other things now that are coming up. It's going to be about the way you represent the one who saved you, the One who loves you. Take daily and that so many will come to know him because of the way that you lived out the gospel. But it's only by the Spirit of God.

Without the Spirit of God, you cannot do it. You can't. But with the Spirit of God, you can do all things. Guys, I want to empower you with the spirit, Spirit of God, you can do all things.

This is the promise. This is the truth. This is what he died for. Okay, so we look at the book of Acts. Let's go to Acts real quick.

We're going to go to Acts 2. Let's go to what Peter says in Acts 2, 38, 40.

And Peter said to them, repent and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin. And you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Verse 39. For the promise is to you and to your children and to. And to who?

And to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call. This is the promise. The promise is that the Holy Spirit is a gift to those who have repented, to those who have been baptized. He is a gift to you so that you would receive him. But it's not just for you.

It's for your children. It's for your children's children. Do you know what happens to me when I see my 8 year old going for it? And she's just up on an altar and she's praising and she's worshiping and she's just like, mom, Holy Spirit is here. Do you what happens to me as a mother?

I'm like burning inside. My heart is burning and I'm like. And I'm crying at the same time because I'm like, Jesus, this gift is not just for me. It's for my children.

It's for my children's children. Do you know what happens when I see a spiritual daughter up here praising and worshiping and loving Jesus? And I see her being Filled with the spirit. There is so much something that happens to me, even as a spiritual mother. I start burning and I start saying, do it in Bailey.

Do it in her. Do it in her, children. And it's the gift of the Holy Spirit, guys. These are the gifts that are available to us. This is what he wants to give you.

This is good news. Yes. Are we excited? I'm excited, Guys. He's wanting to do something in you tonight.

He's wanting to give you a big gift because you're hungry. Do you know what I saw in this room earlier? I saw hunger. You're hungry. You want him, and he so wants to release himself over you in power, but he wants to give you understanding.

There's something that happens when you understand, and there's something that happens when you don't understand. There's a mystery to our God. He's a mystery. You're not going to figure him out. The more that you read the Scriptures, the more you know that you don't know, right?

The more you know that you don't know. As you open the Scriptures and they're revealed to you again and again, and you're just like, why didn't I catch that? I never caught that. Because it's alive. It's real.

It's feeding you. And I believe you. You're going to get fed. As you hunger and thirst, you will get fed. So I want to.

I want to give you here a promise. And it's Acts 2. We're already in Acts 2, but let's keep. Let's keep ourselves there. Acts 2, 17:21.

It says, and it shall come to pass in the last days, that I will pour out my spirit on all flesh. Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy. Your young men shall see visions. Your old man shall dream dreams. And on my menservants and on my maidservants, I will pour out my spirit in those days.

And they shall prophesy. I will show you wonders in heaven above and signs on the earth beneath blood and fire and vapor of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Jesus is assuring us that if we ask and we seek, he will come. That's a promise.

Jesus is assured. Assuring you that if you're asking and if you're seeking, he will come. Let me tell you something that happened to me recently, which was pretty wild. Okay. And then we're going to go into a time of.

Of just ministering and letting him. Are we ready to let him? Okay. But I. I want to share this with you. So in 2012, I was just doing.

This is when I met Brian. I actually met Brian in 2011, but in 2012, him and I were doing things in California. And I'm Salvadorian. I was born in El Salvador, and I came here in the 80s, which will tell you my age, but if you're a good mathematician, you'll know anyway. I was born in 1983, and I came here to the States in a.

In a time of war. The States brought me in as a refugee, and so came to the States and became a prodigal. Remember, I was that little girl that met Jesus at 5 years old. But then at 12, I left him. I just didn't want to have anything to do with Him.

I saw a lot of things in the church that I didn't like. I saw a lot of things that were hypocritical and my heart was hurt. And I thought it had to do with Jesus, but little did I know it had nothing to do with Jesus and everything to do with our humanity. And so I left the Lord. I came back when I was 23, and when I came back to the Lord, I had an encounter with the Lord.

And I saw Jesus, and his eyes were full of kindness and mercy. And it was his kindness and mercy that truly led me to repentance. And it turned my heart to Him. And so I just started running really hard. Do you know when you.

When those people that you see and you're just like, man, they're super saved. You know, they used to call me the super saved girl. Like, I was just talking to Jesus about. I was talking about Jesus everywhere. And, you know, I was just so.

I was so zealous, but I wanted to live out this. I was like, I'm reading this and I'm understanding that it's possible. I'm understanding that men walked in this, and why can't I? And so I wanted to live this with my whole heart. So I started running after God.

I wanted to live a life consecrated to Him. I wanted to set myself apart. I wanted to flow, follow Jesus. I wanted. I wanted to live in times of worship.

And I would go to my room and I would worship and I would, you know, get rid of all the things that I felt he was grieved by. And it was a time. My singleness was a time of my life that I Can look back at now and I can say, oh, those moments were so sweet. They were so sweet. And I remember getting to know Jesus in such a beautiful way.

Do you know, he never, like, said I was too much.

Sometimes I felt like I was too much. But he was so kind that he would just love me. Like, I could just see him. Like, I was like, man, like, he. I would come in, and I would just be in the secret, and I was praying dangerous prayers, and I was saying, God, turn America back to you.

God, I want to see my university saved. God, I want to. I want to see my family saved. God, I know you can do it.

And you know what he would say? Keep praying. I love it when you pray dangerously, Marcella.

And then I met Brian, you know, and we were both, like, going for it, and that's probably why we got married, you know, he was just a friend that I knew was also in love with Jesus. And not that I'm saying, like, I didn't have struggles. I don't want you to think, like, that I did. Like, I remember feeling the struggles of perversion, feeling the struggles of lust, feeling. Feeling the struggles of what I was watching.

I remember the Holy Spirit say, do you want to watch that? You sure that's good, Those questions. And you're just like, I should turn that off. I should turn that off. God, I was.

Guys, I was delivered from pornography. I was brought in to purity. I was broken from shame and guilt, from immorality.

So to me, Jesus is real, because no psychologist, no psychiatrist could take off shame from me. And when I met this man, Jesus, he broke off all the shame, all the guilt, all the condemnation, all the death that I was feeling. See, guys, God didn't come. Leonard Ravenhill says this. God didn't come to make bad men good.

He came to make dead men live.

And that's what he did. He caused me to live again. And I remember in 2012, feeling like, I'm gonna be a missionary. I'm gonna go to the nations, and I'm gonna die as a martyr, Literally. Okay?

That was my longing. I was like, I'm not getting married. It's not gonna happen. And I told Brian about this, and he was like, yeah, that's awesome, Marcella. Like, you should totally do it, you know?

He was like, I hope we can be friends, like, later, you know? Little did we know we were gonna get married. And, you know, it's a sweet story. Brian and I, and the Lord had other plans, but I remember being pierced for the nations and being Pierced for China. And I wanted to go to China.

And it can only be dropped. Nations can only be dropped like that through the spirit of God. I remember feeling that ache in my heart and then it not happening. And the Lord's saying, trust me, trust me. Lay it down.

Trust me. Surrender. Lay it down. Trust me. Okay, guys.

The Lord said two nations to me, China and Israel. And I started praying for these nations. I started finding out what was happening. I read books, I read Heavenly man by Brother Yoon. And I started getting an understanding of the persecuted church.

And I started to get an understanding of what's happening in Israel, how long they've been in war and how they're in war right now. And I started praying and me and Brian got married and Brian was all about America and you know, Gen Z. And I was like, I, I don't know how this is all gonna, like, I don't understand.

But I kept surrendering. I kept surrendering to the Holy Spirit. I kept yielding to the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit kept meeting me and he kept meeting me. Why am I sharing this with you? This year Brian and I were in rest and a friend of mine, we become friends through hot pot.

Have you guys ever had hot pot? You should have hot pot, it's so good. It's a Chinese dish and it's amazing. But we become friends and she starts telling me how she's Chinese and she's been a missionary to the underground church and like getting lit up and I'm like, man, this is amazing. And she's like, maybe one day you can go to China.

And I was like, you know, maybe. Okay, now I'm wife, mom of four, homeschool. All right, I'll show you my life. And I love our community. I'm a mother to our community.

I get to do incredible things with Gen Z. And I absolutely. Can I tell you something? I absolutely love you guys. I really do.

I really do.

I really believe that you have been hand picked by God. You are a hand picked generation. I believe that with my whole heart. But I want, I want, I'm sharing this because I want you to know that when you dream a big dream, there's a big God. And he doesn't forget.

He doesn't forget. He's so kind. And this year, you know, in May, my friend and I are having enchiladas. Do you guys like enchiladas? I make enchiladas.

So my friend and I are having enchiladas and she says to me, hey Marcella, I think you're supposed to go to Israel with me. And I'm like, but listen to this. I'm like, israel's in war. I don't know how I feel about that. I mean, I thought I was going to go with Brian.

I thought I was going to go with the kids. You know, I just had this, like, Disneyland dream of what it would look like. And so I was like, no, I don't think that's a good idea. I don't know. You know?

And a friend of mine was leaving to Israel as a missionary, and we were praying for her that Thursday night. And Friday morning, the Holy Spirit wakes me up, and I feel a tug. This, like, this feeling of, I need to sit before the Lord. I need to pray. Do you guys get those feelings, like, when you just are woken up and you're just longing to sit with the Lord?

And I was sitting with the Lord, and I was like, lord, what's on your heart? And the Lord says, israel. And I was like, israel's on your heart. And so I was like, I know. I'll pray.

And I just start praying. He says, no, I want you to go. And he says, you didn't even ask me. And I just start crying, and I'm like, I don't ever want to grieve Jesus. I don't ever want to grieve the Holy Spirit.

Because you know who's there for me all the time? It's Jesus. It's the Holy Spirit. So when you grieve him, it hurts. It's like a best friend, right?

When you do something to your best friend and you hurt them, doesn't it really hurt you? And you're just like, man, I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to do that. He was so kind, and he was like, I want you to text Ivy. So I text my friend.

I'm giving you her name. Her name is Ivy. And I'm like. I tell Brian, and he's like, all right, okay, you're going to a war zone. Let's go.

Right? And she's like, oh, my gosh, you're coming. Like, there's so much in this story. But, guys, I got to go to Israel in May. And I can tell you this.

He was waiting for me.

The Lord was waiting, and he was waiting for me to be obedient. He was waiting for me to be an answer to 12 years of prayer.

And I. I just want you to know that there's something really deep that only you can have, and it's your history with God. You have to have your own history with God. You can't live off of my history. You can't live off of Ross's history. You can't live off of Bailey's history.

You have your own history with God, and he wants to do it with you. Are you ready? Are you ready? Are you ready to see promises fulfilled? Guys.

Israel for me, was more than a dream. I mean, I was there for nine days, and my heart came alive as I looked at his people, as I served, as I worshiped in a center, in a room, in a desert, as I saw real people in real tragedy and their hearts being lit up. When I said, do you know who sent me? Yeshua sent me. And they would say, why did you come?

Why did you come? You're a mom. You have kids. I was like, you know why? Because Yeshua sent me.

And he loves you. Do you know what that did to them? When you become the answer to your prayers, do you know what that does to you? It transforms you and it transforms others. But it can only be done through the Holy Spirit.

Are you ready to receive the Holy Spirit? Do you want them? Do you really want them?

And if. If you want them, I want you to run up here. I don't want you to. I want you to run up here. There's a hunger in desperation.

He wants you to invite him in so that he can come in. And I want to assure you of some things. Okay. Because I. I know for some of us, this can kind of be scary or, like, who is this? Or I am excited, and I want understanding.

And the questions are okay. The questions are good. Okay. And praying in the Spirit can happen. I want you to know what that is.

Acts 2:4 says they were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. So when we as Christians receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, we receive power, the ability to speak in tongues for us to encounter the Holy Spirit.

The Spirit of the Lord can give you utterances and a new tongue, and it's for the edification of you and the Holy Spirit. It's personal. It's you and Holy Spirit. And I want you to. To let him.

Okay? I want you to know that this is. Can be a new way for you. But first, Corinthians 14:2 talks about the spirit going beyond our natural intellect. He can go beyond your understanding.

He can go beyond your intelligence, because he's God. So I want you to open your hands. We're going to open our hands, and we're going to receive from the Holy Spirit. And you're going to talk to him. You're going to ask him.

Okay? It's not. Not going to shout. I'm not going to. No, we're just going to invite him.

And you're here. You're here, and we acknowledge you. And we want the gift. We want the gift of your spirit. We want the gift of your friendship.

We want the gift of your fellowship. We're sorry if in any way we've grieved you. But would you come? Would you come? God, I ask right now, even as a mother, Father, I pray that you would fill up each and every hungry one in this place, that as they hunger for you, that you would fill them with your spirit, that you would empower them.

Just want to do this real quick because I feel like this is a moment that the Holy Spirit really wants to pour himself out in some fresh and new ways. We don't have to get loud and shout, scream for that to happen. But I just want to take a second if. If you've never received your prayer language, specifically, if you've never prayed in the Holy Spirit, you've never had your personal prayer language before, and that's something you desire. Tonight, I want you to lift your hand.

If that's you, I want you just to lift your hand. If it's something you desire, you say, I want to pray in the spirit. If there's more of God, that's what I want. I want you to lift your hand. Here's what I want you to do.

Those that have lifted your hand, I want you to move towards the center. If you haven't lifted your hand, I just want you to step to the side for me. Just step to the side.

I love what Marcella shared because the Holy Spirit is our comforter. He's our help in time of need. And sometimes the Holy Spirit gets a bad rep. So I love how she exalted the Spirit, Holy Holy Spirit in our midst.

Part of relationship with the Holy Spirit is He gives us this thing called our prayer language. You've heard us pray in the Spirit up here at different points. Maybe that's weird to you. You've never encountered that or experienced it. Can I just tell you real quick, number one, that your prayer language is the furthest thing from weird.

It is one of the most special things, things that you could ever have in your life. Why? Because it is a connection between you and God. The Bible says we utter mysteries in the Spirit to God that no one else understands. That when we pray, our mind doesn't understand what we're praying when we're praying in the Spirit.

But God in heaven understands because His Holy Spirit is enabling us to speak in other tongues. So we're not talking about giving a message in tongues. We're not talking about a gift of tongues. We're talking about your personal prayer language. All right?

And this is like. I'm telling you, this is like something that once you've possessed, once you have, you've asked the Holy Spirit for, you don't have to have this to be saved, to go to heaven. But I'm telling you, it's something that adds so much in your relationship with God. And God's desire is, if it's something that you desire tonight, that his desire is that you would receive the Holy Spirit and that you would pray in your prayer language tonight. So I'm going to give you some really practical tips, because sometimes it's like, how do I do that?

Listen, let me teach you for a moment. Sometimes when we pray for this, we can stand around and we just kind of wait for some, like, mighty, like, rush of wind to come over us. And all of a sudden, like, all these words are just spilling out of our mouth. And, like, we just can't even control it, right? And it's like this, like, wild, like somebody else is possessing me, right?

And, like, that's awesome. And that might be your experience, but here's what my experience was like when I got baptized in the Holy Spirit, I was on third grade. So on Pentecost Sunday, Cohen's dad, Craig Malls, was preaching, and he was talking about the Holy Spirit. And for me, it wasn't this that I was overcome. That I didn't have my senses.

And all of a sudden it just started like it was that I was speaking. I was praying to God and he English. And all of a sudden, there came this point where it just didn't feel like English did what I was trying to accomplish, where I just felt this stirring inside of me. And the Bible says that rivers of living water will flow from those who drink. So I was praying in English and just adoring Jesus.

And all of a sudden there came a moment where it just didn't feel like that was enough. And so what happened was I began to pray in another language. I began to pray in the Spirit. And nobody prayed for me. No one laid hands on me.

Like, literally, Cohen's dad. Cohen and Kenzie's dad didn't even do an altar call. He just began speaking in his prayer language. And the Holy Spirit poured out. And then guess what happened.

Several of us, including Kinsey, I think, and Cohen, maybe several of us got baptized in the Holy Spirit, received our prayer language. We started laying hands on other kids in the room, and other kids started receiving their prayer language all across the room. So this is not a weird thing. This is something that God desires to give to you. But listen, it's an act of faith, right?

Sometimes we can just stand there and we just, like, wait for, like, some mystical thing to come and, like, force us to open our mouth and say something, right? But. Right, the reality is it's an act of faith to partner with what the Holy Spirit wants to do on the inside of you. So you might say, well, I'm just waiting for this thing to happen. It's never happened, right?

Was because you partner with what he's doing on the inside of you. So here's what I'm going to have you do. I'm going to have all of us from moment. I'm gonna have TK Just play prophetically on the keys for a minute. Bailey's gonna sing in the Spirit.

But here's what I want you to do. If you raised your hand, you want to receive your prayer language tonight. An intimate language just between you and the Lord that the Bible says builds up the inner man. It builds up your spirit inside you. Then I'm gonna ask that you would just begin to open up your mouth and pray in English to God.

It might be foreign for some of you, but I want you to just to begin to exalt Jesus once we start in just a moment and just say, lord, I love you. That's all you can say. God, I Love you. I magnify God, I praise and exalt your name. And I want you to pray in English.

And here's what I believe, that at some point as you're praying in English, that there's going to come a time where you feel this stirring on the inside of you. And here's what you do. When you feel that you let whatever comes out, come out of your mouth start spilling out, right? And listen, when a child starts talking, they don't start speaking in full sentences. So maybe you're saying, oh, it's just like it sounds goofy or weird because I'm like, it's like one syllable.

I'm just trying like, I don't know, like, is that it? Like, but here's the reality. When a kid starts talking, they don't start speaking in full sentences, right? Your prayer language, something that you, that you work on with the Holy Spirit, that you develop and grow in, right? Like every relationship, like every area of our relationship with Christ.

Alright, so that's what we're gonna do tonight. And when you feel, when you're praying in English and you feel that moment that I believe is gonna happen tonight where some of you start to feel that just like it's not enough and you feel that stirring inside of you, I just, I want you to release whatever sound, whatever comes out of your mouth in faith and partner with what the Holy Spirit begins to pour out inside of you. Because the Bible says again, rivers of living water, right? And as that happens, we're gonna pray for more of the Holy Spirit. So TK Would you just play prophetic on the keys?

Bailey, would you just sing in the spirit over us? And come on, if you raised your hand, can I have some leaders just make their way to the center? We're gonna have a leader come and place your hand, their hand on you. And listen, they're not doing this because they're magical or have some power or ability. They're just going to partner and believe with you that you're going to receive your prayer language.

So come on, if that's you, just lift your hand so we know who we're praying for tonight. If you want to receive your prayer language, I want you just to lift your hand.

Come on, here we go. I want you to pray in English. If you lifted your hand, I want you just begin to pray in English. Say, Jesus, we love you.

If you have your prayer language in the room, just begin to intercede in your prayer language.

Come on. If you lifted your hand, you want to receive your prayer language, pray out in English right now. And here's what I'm believing, Father, in the name of Jesus, at the sound of my voice, by the power of Jesus, I'm asking, Lord, that you would open up the windows of heaven and you would pour out your whole Holy spirit. And God, I'm asking right now, in this moment, God, that students would be baptized in fire and in the Holy Spirit. God, I pray right now.

English will not be enough. By the rivers of living water. Come on. Some of you are feeling that right now. Literally stirring inside of you.

Let it out. Partner with what the Holy Spirit's doing on the inside of you. Literally whatever comes out. Come on. Pray in your spirit.

Pray in the. Pray in your prayer language. If you haven't. If you're still interceding and believing for God to give you your prayer language, just continue to pray in English. There's going to come a moment where that's not enough.

That doesn't suffice anymore. You feel it stirring. Just begin to let it out. Come on.

Come on. We're praying in the prayer language right now. Begin to open up your mouth. Let it come out. God, we pray more Holy Spirit.

More Holy Spirit. That's it. That's it. That's it. Some of you are being baptized in the spirit right now.

That's it. More, more. More Holy Spirit. Yes, yes. More God, more in Jesus right now, Father.

More Holy Spirit. Pour out in Jesus name. More, more, more. Prayer language. Speak out.

If you haven't received it, continue to pray in English. There's gonna come a point.

It might seem uncomfortable. It might be weird. Just. Just track with me. I promise.

It's one of the greatest gifts you can ever.

Hallelujah. Remember, you are partnering in faith with what the Holy Spirit's doing on the inside of you. So begin to pray in English. If you are believing for your prayer language. Come on.

Magnify and glorify Jesus. The prayer language doesn't come because we just have some magical formula. No, it comes when we behold and lock eyes with Jesus. Because the Bible says that the Holy Spirit's the one who reveals all truth to us. He reveals the Son to us.

So as you pray in your prayer language, the Son Jesus is being revealed to you. So why do I have you pray in English first? Because you need to lock eyes with Jesus. He's the goal. He's the aim.

Not praying in a prayer language, that's awesome. But Jesus relationship and communion with him is the. Is the focus. So pray in English. Just lift up Jesus.

Say, we love you, we honor you, we praise you, we give you glory. Right now, Father baptized fresh and anew. John the Baptist said, I baptize with water, but there is one coming who will baptized with fire and the Holy Ghost. This is that experience. This is what it looks like.

In Jesus name.

You say, why are we speaking from the pulpit in tongues? Where is that in scripture? Listen, we're not giving a message in tongues. What we're doing is we are building up our inner selves.

We are praying and connecting with Holy Spirit, with God. Not something to be discerned, but something. We are lifting up to Jesus. An intimate prayer language by the Spirit in the Spirit.

Trust him. He's not mystical. He's a person. And he's comforting and he's kind. And so I. I just felt led as I was praying for some of you.

I. I really believe that promise of Acts 2 that we just read that the spirit of the Lord would come upon all flesh, and it says that his sons and daughters would prophesy. It's a prophecy promise. And. And you're not. You're not disqualified because you got saved yesterday.

That doesn't disqualify you. You're not. You're qualified by the spirit of the living God. So I just want to do something. If you're a leader, could we make room for the leaders?

Can you guys stand here in the middle? Can we make room for your leaders, Guys?

You know, I've been walking in leadership for 16 years, which is crazy, but I never graduate. I just don't graduate. It's like my hunger just increases more and more. And that's how I know I'm healthy because I want more. I want more.

And sometimes the most accurate prophetic words that I get are from my 8 year old and my 6 year old who I'm just like, the spirit of God is on you. Pray for me. And they release some wild words over me. They kind of move on like it's nothing. And I'm just like, you just blew my mind with all of that.

But receive today. This is for all of us. This is for all of us. I'm receiving as I was with you guys. I was receiving just how beautiful the Holy Spirit does things.

He's so kind. And so I want you to get around your leaders. If you're here and you're receiving, I want you to get around your leaders and I want you to begin to pray over your leaders. And I want you to, to pray for a blessing of the Holy Spirit over this leadership.

And I believe that you're. Something's gonna happen. God's gonna empower you, the Holy Spirit, that's what he does. He empowers you. That's his job.

He loves to empower you to share the good news. And the spirit of prophecy is Jesus. So we just share Jesus. So we're gonna activate this. Okay, you ready?

Whatever it is that you're feeling, I want you to release it. If you see something over your leader, I want you to release it. I want you to bless them, encourage them. Don't know about you leaders, but I need encouragement. And so I want you to just release that over them.

And we're gonna believe that this whole room is going to receive tonight. Okay? So just lift your, lift your hands. We're just going to pray. We're just going to release that.

Father, we thank you for your word. God, we thank you that that promise of Acts 2 is alive today. Father, we ask right now, release the spirit of the living God over all flesh. You said it, God. All flesh.

All people will receive from your spirit. So we ask right now, release your spirit on all flesh. Father, we ask right now that you would release the spirit of prophecy over your sons and daughters, that they would prophesy. So we speak right now, begin to just minister Holy Spirit. Give them vision to see, give them ears to hear and break all the fallow grounds of our hearts and make our hearts tender to receive your spirit.

We receive your spirit, God. Come on, just thank him. Thanksgiving opens a door. Just thank him. Just say, thank you, Holy Spirit.
