Selah • 7 Day Reset • Day 5

Welcome. This is day five of Summer Selah. Today's question is in what ways does Jesus reveal the reality of the Kingdom of Heaven? One thing I wanted to focus on today regarding Jesus and how he reveals the reality is whenever he's talking about his Father, about God, and how Jesus is revealed to all the disciples, to the people on earth, and how it's so important for us to be able to come to Jesus like little children and to be able to lay down what we'd previously known, lay down our past, our guilt and our shame, and to be able to just forgive. It's important for us to forgive not only others, for us to forgive ourselves of past mistakes.

And so God really orchestrated that and really revealed that through Jesus and how he talked about how we need to forgive like little children. So for us, that is one way that really resonates with me in my life, in past mistakes and not really focusing on what has happened in the past, but being able to understand my identity in Christ by surrendering my life to Jesus, by committing my life fully to him, by being like a child and forgetting what I did, understanding that my Father still loves me, and to be able to move forward and not behind. One thing I've really learned is whenever you're driving, there's a reason why the windshield is so big and the rearview mirror so small. It's because we're supposed to focus on what's in front. So one way that Jesus reveals the reality of Kingdom of Heaven is by us being able to forgive what's happened in the past and be able to move forward like our kids are supposed to do.
