Easter Egg Graphic

Over 3500 colored eggs, with personal invitations inside, are assembled by a team of Refuge volunteers. The eggs are then passed out following our weekend services and then distributed throughout our communities by our members as a personal invitation to attend one of our Resurrection Services. Also included inside is a redeemable coupon for a free cup of coffee from our Mugshot.

The Refuge Riders and dozens of volunteers, along with area churches,  partnered together in the "I Love My City" outreach project in Spring 2016 and 2017. We participated in serving food to the community, hosting a yard sale, and joining forces with the "Adopt a Street" project, cleaning and picking up trash on Central Drive. It was a great opportunity to 'be' the church, not just 'do' church!

Fall Festival Graphic

Our annual Fall Festival, one of our largest Outreach Events, has been held on the church grounds during the month of October. This is our alternative to Halloween! Each year the Fall Festival grows larger and larger. There were over 1800 attendees at our last festival. This event appeals to all generations. Fall Festival includes Bounces Houses, Bungee Trampoline, Bumper Cars, Trunk Treats (w/ classic cars), Game Booths, Cake Walk, a Live Blue Grass Band, Lots & Lots of candy, A Hay ride, taste Festival food and so much more. With a team of 100 or more volunteers our goal is to bless our community with this free event.

Help Portrait is held in December at our Hope Center. Working side-by-side, dozens of Refuge volunteers, local photographers, hairstylists and makeup artists use their skills, tools and expertise to give back to the community. It is about GIVING the pictures, not taking them. These portraits aren’t for a portfolio, website, or sale. It’s about giving people who otherwise couldn’t afford photography, a chance to capture a moment, a memory…and a whole lot more.
